It’s not a secret… you either love it or you hate it, but if you’re a designer, you’ll definitely use it. Figma, the “trendy” tool for working in large or small teams, startups or corporations, agencies or studios.

There’s no need to explain what this wonderful tool can do — yes, I’m one of those who love it — so I’ll take a (big) leap and introduce you to some of the best plugins for Figma.

Note: If you don’t know what Figma can do or how to use it, here’s a link that will help you understand Figma better. Thanks to the author for this post: Courage Egbude.

Before I continue, I must say that the following list isn’t the most used or commented plugins, but relevant plugins for many functions based on my personal criteria (research, design, vectors, etc.).

As always, let’s get to the point:

Figit

Figit makes it easier to create production ready designs in record time with the help of Auto Layout. The plugin is a library of over 1000 UI elements in Auto Layout from three different Categories of Web Application, Ecommerce and Marketing UI Kits.

Automator

Build custom drag and drop automations that do time-sensitive Figma tasks for you in one click.

Figma Measure

A plugin for easy measurement of sizes. The simple user interface allows you to add easily redlines for heights and widths, fill spaces, measure distances between elements and more.

Sitemap

Create maps of your site. Crawl links. Recursive & fast.

Find and Replace Colors

Find and Replace Colors is made for designers or teams who often need to create or modify templates. It is a quick & easy solution for finding all colors and replacing them as you need.

Batch Styler

Change multiple text and color styles at once.

Style Organizer

Display and organize color and text styles.

AutoGrid

Define rows, columns and padding and let AutoGrid do the rest.

Clean Document

Automagically organize and clean up your Figma document.

Design Lint

Find and fix errors in your designs. Design Lint is an open source plugin that finds missing styles within your designs. Ensure your designs are ready for development or design collaboration by fixing inconsistencies.

Rename It

Keep your Figma files organized, batch rename layers and frames. Simple, right?

Interplay

Interplay imports your design system code repository and lets you design with code components in Figma. You can browse all of your design system code components, add them to your design in Figma, edit their content and all of the Code Component properties. Interplay generates a Figma component on the fly and keeps it connected with the related code component so that your design is always in sync with your production code.

Design System Organizer

Bulk relink instances and styles between libraries. Copy styles between files. Manage names with /’s like folders.

Master

Create, attach, clone, and move components in a couple of clicks without losing overrides!

Layer Counter

Count selected layers, layer types, and nested layers. The counts automatically update every time you select any layers.

Sorter

A plugin for sorting/reordering layers.

So far, some wonderful plugins developed for Figma. I am sure some of them can help(us) at some point in (y)our daily work.

As always, if you know of any interesting plug-ins, let me know in the comments so I can add them to the next post.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. And I hope to see you soon.
